Hi I'm Georgie,
At 24, I live in Walgett, NSW and regularly travel south to my family’s property just north of Gunning to help with cattle work. It’s this balance between farm life and time in the studio that shapes my style and strongly influences what I create.
What began as a simple hobby sketching and painting for friends and family has grown into a genuine pursuit of becoming a full-time artist, while still working alongside the family farm. Rather than searching elsewhere for inspiration, I find it in the everyday moments of rural life.
My work often features familiar subjects such as cattle, well-worn work boots, fresh produce, alongside softer touches inspired by time spent in my flower garden. Through original artworks on canvas and linen, along with prints and paper goods, I aim to tell simple stories of country life and celebrate the quiet beauty found in ordinary moments.
You can now find my work in shops across NSW, including Crookwell, Orange, Molong, Brisbane and Walgett, a reflection of the growing community supporting Just Draw By Georgie.
Rural details, depth & character
At 'Just Draw By Georgie', my art is centred around simple, familiar objects thoughtfully composed and refined with quiet detail.
I’m drawn to the everyday pieces of rural life: cattle, boots, fresh produce, florals, and well-loved items that carry meaning. By keeping my compositions minimal and uncluttered, I allow each subject to stand confidently on its own, while subtle layers of detail add depth and character.
Working across canvas and linen, I focus on natural textures and soft, earthy tones that reflect life on the land. My aim is to elevate ordinary objects into something lasting, preserving their story and celebrating the understated beauty found in simple country moments.
